The Archaeological Museum Los Baños ("The Baths") is a site museum created to preserve and protect the archaeological remains of the Baths of Alhama de Murcia, showing thematic spaces of different cultures. Its architecture is an example of heritage conservation, in the same facilities, of Roman rooms, reusing them during Islamic and Christian periods, until the construction of the new spa resort in the 19th century.
Its archaeological remains were declared in 1983 Historic-Artistic Landmark of National Interest (B.I.C) and in May 2008 it was included in the Network of Museums of the Region of Murcia.
Cultural activities are held in the Museum throughout the year (performances, coral meetings, classical music concerts, exhibitions, conferences ...). The entrance and the previously booked guided visits are free of charge.
