NEW TOURIST TOURS SCHEDULE JULY-DECEMBER 2022
- 08/07/2022
The new programme includes tours in English, such as "Tour the City", "Tour the Museum" and a special gymkhana for families "Rescue the Time Traveller" on July 22 and August 19.
The guided tours of the city centre, called 'Un paseo por Alhama' and 'Tour the City', in Spanish and English respectively, will be held in the evenings during the summer, returning to the mornings from the end of September. They are priced at €3 for adults and €2 for children aged 3 to 12 and will be led by a qualified official guide.
In order to encourage family tourism, the new gymkhana 'Rescue the Time Traveller' in Spanish and English is being launched this summer. In this free, interactive activity, young and old will work together with the protagonist to find the fragments of the navigation map that an accident has scattered across the length and breadth of the historic centre. To complete the map of Alhama, they will visit some emblematic places in the city centre, discovering clues and solving games and riddles. All the tests and clues will have a connection with the digital world, with the central theme being Alhama's characters and monuments, and the games aim to reinforce the knowledge that our young participants acquire during the gymkhana. This activity is recommended for families with children from 7 years old and using a smartphone, to contribute to the integration of the Smart Tourist Destination within the tourist activities of the municipality, although there will also be a paper version of the tests. Don't miss the August 19 gymkhana in English, since it is the last one of the programme!
Starting in September, the programme of tourist visits will once again include guided tours of the Los Baños Archaeological Museum and dramatised visits in Spanish.
Finally, in November, around All Saints' Day, the guided and dramatised visit 'Don Juan Tenorio' will take place again, which will represent the main scenes of the play by José Zorrilla in different charming corners of Alhama. This will be free, with limited places, so two dates have been set aside: Friday 5 and Saturday 6 November, at 21:00.
Tourist visits must be booked in advance at the Tourist Office (tel. 968 633 512), Los Baños Archaeological Museum (tel. 968 630 776) and online, through the
