Festivity of La Candelaria - 24/01/2014
The traditional pilgrimage of the Virgin of La Candelaria will take place on 2nd February
The events in honor of the Virgin of La Candelaria begin on 1st February at the Church of the Conception, and it continues the 2nd February with the traditional pilgrimage to the Hermitage of "El Collao". Here you could see the activities of this festivity:
1st February
7:30 pm Mass in the Church of the Conception sung by the group "The Golden Age". After that, the image of the Virgin of La Candelaria will be moved to the Church of St.Lázaro.
2nd February
9:45 am Procession of the children. The procession will take place on the following places: Church of San Lázaro, Virgen del Rosario, Gil, La Feria and Church of San Lázaro.
10:00 am Mass in honour of the Virgin of La Candelaria, in the Church of San Lázaro. This Mass will be sung by the group "Cantores de Alhama" .
11:00 am Pilgrimage to “El Collao”, Pilgrimage of the image of the Virgin accompanied by pilgrims and bands ( "Aires de Espuña" and "Taller de músicos Sonata"), who will sing to the image of La Candelaria. On arrival at the "Collao", it will take place a Mass in the Hermitage, this Mass will be sung by the group "Friends of the Night" .
Itinerary: Corredera, Rambla D.Diego, Moreras, Rambla San Roque, Ermita Padre Manuel y Collao.
2:00 pm Giant Paella for everyone, in "El Collao".
