  Next Wednesday, September 16, Alhama de Murcia will experience a historic day with the arrival, for the first time, of the Sacred Fire from the Carthaginians and Romans Festival in Cartagena. This year, the town is joining the Iter Ignis 2026, an initiative that combines sports with the promotion of the Carthaginian and Roman legacy along a route of more than 240 kilometers to Cartagena.

On Wednesday, September 16, starting at 12:00 p.m., residents and visitors will be able to witness the first arrival of the Iter Ignis in Alhama de Murcia in the San Lázaro courtyard, before the torch continues its journey to Cartagena.
