10:00 am | Opening ceremony and presentation.
Speeches by Rosa Sánchez, Mayoress; María Regla Pérez Hechevarría, President of the Huellas Compartidas Culture and Art Association; Aziz Diouf, President of the Senegalese Association in the Region of Murcia; and Alicia Martínez, Councillor for Culture and Heritage.
10:00 am | Opening of the market selling traditional African products
Exhibition and sales area featuring textiles, costume jewellery, decorative items, handcrafted goods, henna and African braids.
10:30 am | Senegalese percussion parade
Musical parade by the group Kunta Kinte Percusión through the streets of the city centre to Plaza de las Américas.
11.30 am | Children’s workshop “Africa yesterday and today”
Activity to learn about Senegalese culture through music, traditions and African percussion.
Led by Aziz Diouf and Modou Diagne.
12.45 pm | Informative talk: “The secrets of African art: magic, ritual and animism”
By Professor José Javier Aliaga Cárceles, from the Department of Art History at the University of Murcia.
1.30 pm | Live music | “Perkeworld. African roots from a European perspective”
Musical performance by percussionists Iván García, Magdalena Myrczik, Juanfra Carrillo and David Almagro.
2.30 pm | Tasting of traditional African dishes
Gastronomic showcase featuring typical recipes from various African countries.

5:00 pm | Intercultural activities for children organised by the Red Cross Youth

Music and dance show inspired by the Mandinka culture of West Africa.

Traditional Moroccan percussion performance with Mohammed Hamdi, Soufiane Mouissi, Khalid Addadi and Walid El Kodia.
8.30 pm | Live music | Kunta Kinte Percussion
A Senegalese percussion show featuring traditional instruments such as the sabar, tungune and dun dun, performed by Aziz Diouf, Modou Diagne, Mamadou Diallo and Mor Thiam.
