MAYOS 2026: DEPORTIMAYOS

DEPORTIMAYOS party begins, featuring traditional games, bouncy castles and numerous activities in the street next to the indoor pool and sports pavilion.

This activity is aimed at school-age children, whether or not they are from Alhama

For families taking part in Deportimayos for the first time, children must go to the table bearing the name of their school or college, which will be located at the side of the heated pool. There, they must state which school they attend, their name and the year group they are in; the person at the table will check the child’s name against the lists.

The event will feature various themed areas where children can take part in sports activities, creative workshops and inflatable attractions, turning the area around the swimming pool into a major hub for leisure and sport.

The sports area will host activities including basketball, rhythmic gymnastics, judo, climbing, orienteering, volleyball, synchronised swimming and, new for this year, cycling and boxing. These disciplines promote physical development, coordination, concentration and teamwork.

The programme will also include recreational activities aimed specifically at children, such as psychomotor skills and games with a giant parachute, juggling workshops, face painting and balloon modelling, as well as traditional games including skittles, petanque and spinning tops. These activities aim to stimulate creativity, motor skills and social interaction through participatory and dynamic activities.

One of the event’s main attractions will be the inflatables area, which will feature various attractions such as slides, small and large inflatables, a giant football inflatable, the fun ‘barredera’ and a spectacular 25-metre obstacle course.
