A joyful awakening to the ringing of bells and the firing of fireworks in honour of the Virgen de la Cabeza, heralding the main day of the patron saint’s festivities.
11.45 am. Arrival of the Majas at the church, accompanied by authorities and the Santa María Magdalena Music Association Band.
12:00 pm. Celebration of the Holy Mass officiated by the parish priest, Father Ismael Sánchez Gómez, with singing by the choir of the Hermandad del Rocío de Lorca, Los Romeros de Lébor.
The procession will then begin with the image of the Virgen de La Cabeza carried on the shoulders of all the parishioners and accompanied by the Santa María Magdalena Music Band, following the usual route.
2.00 pm. Music to liven up the afternoon.
2.30 pm. A huge paella for over four hundred people, to be enjoyed by all attendees (drinks not included).
3.00 pm. Inflatables and games with Animunis for the children.
4.30 pm. Performance by Los Quillos.
5.30 pm. Performance by the Trío Jema.
9.00 pm. Churros and hot chocolate for attendees.
12.00 am. Closing of the 2026 festivities with a small fireworks display.
