CINEMA IN SPANISH: The Brutalist

Historical drama directed by Brady Corbet that premiered at the Venice Film Festival. It recounts 30 years in the life of László Tóth (Adrien Brody), a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survived the Holocaust and emigrated to the United States. Fleeing post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in the United States to rebuild his life, his work and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after they were forced to separate during the war because of changing borders and regimes. Alone and in a new country totally unknown to him, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognises his talent for architecture.
