EXHIBITION "FIGHTING AGAINST DESPOILMENT. GUADALENTÍN VALLEY".
Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Holidays to consult.The Exhibition Hall of Museo Arqueológico Los Baños displays a selection of pieces (originals or replicas) resulting from the seizures of operations against the plundering and clandestine trafficking of heritage assets, as well as from numerous voluntary surrenders of their owners. The aim of this exhibition is to raise awareness of the detrimental effects of looting on archaeological heritage.
The destruction of archaeological sites often results in the decontextualisation of the looted artefacts, as it not only reduces the possibilities of obtaining a reliable historical reconstruction of our past from them, but also casts doubt on their originality.
