OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION "MULIER SANCTI FACIEI"
Organised by the Hermandad de la Santa Mujer Verónica in collaboration with the Junta de Cofradías y Hermandades and the Town Hall. Free admission.Until February 19.The exhibition is part of the centenary celebrations of the Brotherhood.
Through 11 carvings of Holy Veronica Women, from different parts of the Region of Murcia, the Brotherhood seeks to highlight the figure of the woman who, according to Christian tradition, during the Stations of the Cross, stretched out a cloth for Christ to dry his sweat and blood, leaving his face engraved on the cloth.
The poster is the work of Antonio José Villa, a painter from Cieza, who this year will also be the author of the poster for Easter Week in Alhama. The layout has been designed by Belén Iranzo.
The exhibition will have a guide in Spanish to facilitate the knowledge of the images and their history, which will be available from 18:00 on the opening day.
