Tomorrow 2nd February is World Wetlands Day 2024 and for this reason the Information and Promotion Service in the network of Protected Areas of the Region of Murcia has launched this series of free activities for this weekend, which will take place in the Regional Parks of San Pedro del Pinatar and La Pila, in the Monte Arabí Natural Monument, in the Barrancos de Gebas Protected Landscape and in the Cañaverosa Nature Reserve.
"Wetlands and human well-being" is this year's theme, which takes the form of the slogan "Life intertwined. Wetlands and people". This year highlights the strong interconnectedness between wetlands and human life, as people draw sustenance, inspiration and resilience from these productive ecosystems. This theme calls on each of us to value and protect wetlands.
