Plaza Vieja Cultural Center

This 18th century mansion hosted the City Hall between 1923 and 1986. Currently it hosts the Municipal Library and the Plaza Vieja Exhibition Hall.

The Cultural Center is located in the OLD SQUARE former economic and social center of the town, at the foot of Cerro del Castillo (Castle's Hill), where the artistic mark of the 19th and 20thcenturies is reflected in its impressive noble mansions with classical and colorful facades,submerging the visitor into an atmosphere of peace and tranquility, while offering an interesting cultural legacy: Plaza Vieja Cultural Center, El Pósito Exhibition Hall, Casa de la Tercia (House of the Teracia), ...

The shield of the facade stands out as a declared Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC), which comes from the Old Town Hall located right across, from where it was moved to this facade.

Open in case of temporary exhibitions in the following schedule:

From 15th September to 5th June from Tuesday to Saturday from 16.30 to 19.30 h. 
From 8th June to 14th September: from Tuesday to Saturday from 17.00 to 20.00 h.

Opening time of the Public Library.

Winter. From Monday to Friday from 9 to 13.30 h. and 16.30 h. to 19.30 h.
Summer (from 23rd June). Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 14.00 h.

Closed from 1 to 15th August.

Openint time of the Study Room:

Winter: from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 13.30 and from 16.30 to 22.00 h.
Saturday and Sunday: from 10.00 to 14.00 and 17.0 to 22.00 h.
